The global shipment of the PC declined for five consecutive seasons, and the tablet PC has been the main growth point.
According to the statistics published by the international research-Gartner, the global shipment of PC in the second quarter of 2013 has declined to 76 million units, which has declined 10.9 percent, compared to that in the same time of last year. The shipment of PC has declined for five consecutive seasons. The lead analyst of Gartner thinks that the low price tablet PC has been the first computing device for many people in the emerging market, which has replaced the PC products in the mature and developed market.

With the decline of the PC’s sh8ipment, the shipment of the tablet PC increased continually, which might exceed the traditional PC. The market research firm-NPD DisplaySearch predicts that the global shipment of tablet PC will reach 364 million units in 2014, which is twice as many as shipment of the standard and Ultra-thin laptops. The reason for the growth of the tablet PC is its rapid penetration into the emerging market, and that the laptop replaced by the tablet PC is the main reason for the market’s growth.

As the biggest communication chain at home, the D-phone recently announced that it will transformed into the communication chain stores with the core of selling smart phone, and start the strategy of tablet PC. By adjusting the product supply, store decoration, sales strategy and events publicity, it predicts that the sales quota of the tablet PC in D-phone stores will increase to 10 percent. The SVP of the D-phone states that the tablet PC will be the selling point in the D-phone stores in the next half year of 2013.

The depute  secretary general of the China electronic chamber of commerce states that, in the context of the mobile phone’s rapid integration with the tablet products, a tablet PC has almost been the smart products that between the smart phone and the PC products, so far, the tablet PC has been the users’ rigid demand. The D-phone to start the tablet PC strategy is not only effectively only broadening the traditional channels for consumers to buy tablet products, but also enriching the smart products sold by the D-phone, which makes it can firstly finish the transformation in the age of tablet.
